The weather was perfect by Lake Norman Tuesday afternoon – sunny and in the upper 60s to low 70s – as hundreds of area seniors converged on Jetton Park in Cornelius for the 9th annual Lake Norman Senior Fun and Fitness Day. Hosted by Lake Norman Senior Center and supported by a local parks and recreation departments, businesses and health-care organizations, the annual outing gave people 55 and over a chance to take a fitness walk, play games, get a free health checks or join classes such as chair exercise and tai chi.
